Meet Syzygy’s co-founders and our facilitators for the evening.

Hi! We’re Marijke Large and Kailah Bharath. We’re dear friends who started Syzygy in 2017 out of a desire to see more support systems for women, genuine spaces to have nuanced dialogue, and opportunities to meet other badass women.

When defined, Syzygy means “a union of opposites” and that’s how we approach community-building. The female identity is not a single story. We are all unique and multifaceted. At Syzygy, we celebrate that we all come from different backgrounds and create powerful connections when we bring our experiences, stories, and ideas together.

We see each gathering as an intentional crossing of many different paths. All of our events are also completely offline! We want each gathering to be less about Instagram likes and more about unfiltered moments. It’s an opportunity to digitally detox and get to know some incredible women in your city.

We look forward to gathering with you,
